This sextant measures the altitude of celestial bodies, helping calculate one’s location at sea or on land. It comes in a well-crafted wooden box with a convenient handle.

On top of the box is the inscription Drum-Sextant(FPM), enclosing a dated certificate from January 01, 1996.

The white drum sextant features an arc, micrometer drum, clamp, index bar, magnifying bar, frame, telescope, shade glasses, and a horizon mirror. The frame is marked FREIBERGER PRAZISIONSMECHANIK- 950041.
