Description
This Engine Order Telegraph came out of Jugoslavia, built sometime between the 1960s and 1990s. It served on ships in the Yugoslavian Navy, along with other components like control wheels, valves, and propellers. From what we’ve found, these telegraphs rarely appear online. Most of them likely remain in Eastern Europe.
Crews used this device to send speed and direction commands from the bridge to the engine room. The handle still rings the bell, offering a working bit of that original functionality.
Its size and clean design make it an easy fit for collectors or anyone looking for a strong nautical display piece.
Features:
- Made in Jugoslavia – likely between 1960 and 1990
- Used for shipboard communication – between bridge and engine room
- Bell still works – handle chimes when moved
- Rare find – few known examples outside Eastern Europe
- Great for display – fits home, office, or maritime collections
