Description
You are looking at a Antique Lantern by Frank Morrison. Frank Morrison, along with his son, established the Frank Morrison And Son Company, which received its incorporation in December of 1877. The company was based in Cleveland, Ohio… for those of you who know the area, they were right on the river in the Flats.
The lantern features a black-painted steel body and brass accents, such as the cap and the top loop. On the front of this lantern is a brass plaque that bears the inscription: “FRANK MORRISON MAKER CLEVELAND OHIO.” The lantern has a 360-degree Fresnel glass design with a small fragment missing in one section. To access the lantern’s interior, a small latch can be slid to the side, allowing you to lower the bottom section. The item does have some rust on its base, as shown in some photographs.
Overall, this Vintage 360 Degree Frank Morrison Lantern exhibits a lot of nautical charm and would look great on a fireplace mantle!
