Brass Ship’s Bell | Offshore Tugboat Bell | Temasek Laut 1991

This listing is for a brass ship’s bell from 1991. A vessel named the “Temasek Laut” was launched as a tugboat and served in that capacity for almost 30 years. Temasek was the early name for the settlement located at Singapore. A rough translation to English would mean “seatown” today. The vessel was named “Temasek Laut” for 5 years before being sold and renamed to “Kaiko” in 1996 and then finally “Kai” in 2017. After a short period of use in 2017, it was sent to a salvage yard for the company to recoup some of it’s investment. We found this bell during a trip overseas last year to find new suppliers.

This bell would look great in an office, entryway, or restaurant space. We’ve fitted this bell with an anchor shackle so that you can easily place it anywhere with a hook! We’ve had customers place these outdoors to use as a dinner bell for the kids, just like they remembered when they were younger.
