This is an Authentic Grey DIC Console Mounted Engine Order Telegraph. An engine order telegraph (sometimes called engine room telegraph) is a navigation instrument used to communicate the positioning of a ship between the pilot and the engine room. This particular piece would be used by the pilot as it’s smaller and attaches to a console or wall instead of the traditional free-standing EOTs.
