You are looking at a Vintage Brass Small Larkin Fire Hose Nozzle. The Larkin Manufacturing Company was located in Dayton, Ohio. This fire nozzle was on the Tug Waverly which was built in 1949 at St. Louis Ship Bldg. for the Sioux City Barge Lines.  It was later sold to the Great Lakes Towing Co. in 1968 and operated until 1974. Then, it was sold to Calvert Marine Towing Co. which the renamed the tug to Curly B. They later sold it in 1994 to Lake Michigan Contracting Co. and was in service until 1998.

It is made out of solid brass and has the name LARKIN engraved on the bottom portion of the nozzle. You will also find the NO. 6 engraved on the base as well. This item has some scratches on it but, overall it is in really good condition.

This would make a great addition to your nautical, maritime collection!

This item is being sold on consignment for a private collector from Cleveland. Every item has been well-preserved due to the owner’s deep love of nautical history. You’ll find some very interesting pieces in this collection – items that might not be found anywhere on the Internet!
