Sound Powered Salvaged Vintage Telephone, Type 76. Sound-powered telephones work by converting sound pressure from the user’s voice into an electric current, which is then converted back to sound by a transducer at the receiver nodes.

This phone was mounted upside down when it was on the ship, this is why both the placard, and the tuning dial are facing the way that they are.

Please note that we have not tested the working condition of this ship’s phone. This phone is being sold as a decorative item, not a working one. But even though it is not functional, it still is a unique and valuable piece of maritime history that can be appreciated for its aesthetic and historical value.
