Product Description:

This Vintage Stainless Steel Yanagi Aneroid Barometer serves as a fluid-free device for measuring atmospheric pressure, featuring a partially evacuated metal chamber with a responsive corrugated lid.

French scientist Lucien Vidi invented the aneroid barometer in 1844. Underneath the glass, you’ll spot its name, Patent Number (957696), Type 8A, and the words “Compensated Temperature & Acceleration,” along with its origin in Tokyo, Japan.

Consider adding this barometer to your nautical-themed room or collection. Please note that its proper working condition is unknown, as it has not been tested.
