Our Clear Fresnel Lens Brass Tranberg Piling Light stands as a beacon of maritime tradition, typically mounted at the bow or stern of a vessel. These lights illuminate the surrounding waters and communicate vital information about your boat’s position and direction to other seafarers.

Tranberg traces back to 1901 when Olof Tranber established the company in Stavanger, Norway. Tranberg introduced the world’s first electrical navigation light, setting a standard for marine equipment. Over 90 years, Tranberg crafted reliable maritime solutions until its acquisition by German company R.Stahl in 2006.

This solid brass piling light features a clear Fresnel lens. As an authentically salvaged light, some of the lenses may have minor chips or pitting in the glass. Additionally, the Tranberg plate is missing from the top. This light would be a great fit, whether gracing an outdoor patio, adorning a desk, or setting the mood lighting at a bar or restaurant.

Wiring:

This light has been re-wired with all new UL-listed parts, including a ceramic medium base socket and ground wire, rated for any voltage under 250 volts. We recommend using a standard base LED bulb / LED Edison bulb, which allows you to choose the bulb’s brightness to match your lighting area.

To access the socket, open the hinge and lift the lid.
