You are looking at a Large C.F. Curtis Lumber Hooker Ship Model resting on a board that has stilts to rest the model on. A nautical term for a Great Lakes Ship that is designed to carry her own deck load of lumber and to tow one or two barges is call a Lumber Hooker.
This was built by a man from Goderich, Ontario Canada in 2009. You will see the name C.F. Curtis on many different areas on the Ship. The Curtis went down in a storm in Lake Superior during the First World War. The craftsman ship is exceptional and the details of the ship are unlike no other!
A must have piece for anyone who loves anything to do with the Great Lakes and the love of ships!
