Product Description:

You are looking at the Alabama As A Barge Photo. It was built by the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.  It was launched on December 18, 1909 and went out of service in 1946.  The Steamer sat at Montello Park for many years.  It was eventually converted into a non-powered barge in 1961 until it was scrapped in 2006.

On the frame you will see a plague that reads: ALABAMA AS A BARGE, STENDER MARINE CONSTRUCTION CO.

This item would be perfect for someone who loves anything about the Great Lakes!
