Congo-Brazzaville Ship Flag – 56″ x 38″

This authentic Congo-Brazzaville Ship Flag measures approximately 56″ x 38″ and came from a vessel before workers cut it up for scrap. We left the flag exactly as we found it. As a result, it still displays the dirt, wear, and character it gained during years of maritime service. Additionally, we have not washed the fabric, preserving its authentic appearance.

The Republic of the Congo, often called Congo-Brazzaville, adopted this distinctive flag design in 1959. Unlike many national flags, it features a bold diagonal yellow stripe that separates a green upper section from a red lower section. The green symbolizes the country’s forests and agriculture, while the yellow represents friendship and generosity. Meanwhile, the red honors the sacrifices made during the nation’s struggle for independence.
