    6 Foot Nautical Rope Ladder

    Price: $90.00

Take a closer look at this 6 foot nautical rope ladder by clicking on the photo.

This 6 foot nautical rope ladder has 6 wood steps. Each step on this 6 foot nautical rope ladder measures 20 1/2 inches long, 4 1/2 inches wide, and about 1 1/4 inch thick. These rope nautical ladders are often called a Jacobs Ladder or a Pilot Ladder. If you have time, go to the Gallery Section of this site, and watch our owner climb a rope ladder to gain access to a beached vessel in the Bangladesh Shipyard.

You might ask yourself what does a person do with one of these ladders? I hear from people all the time that are using them to make book shelves that hang from the ceiling next to a wall, or a plant rack inside or outside.

They make great nautical décor, and can easily be cut to shorter lengths as needed. These rope ladders have not been cleaned, so you may have to hose them off with some soap and water.

We generally stock a great selection of authentic nautical décor and if you have product questions, or are ready to place an order we can be reached at 574-870-1571.

54 Foot Long Large Rope Ladder – Authentic Nautical Decor

    Price: $695.00

Click on the photo to see additional views of this 54 foot long large rope ladder – Authentic Nautical Decor.

This large rope ladder may have been salvaged from a real cargo ship, but it is a great display or use piece. Cut it up into smaller sections for book shelves, or make it into that great tree house ladder for the kids. Not sure if you really want your kids climbing a 52 foot large rope ladder, but it can be cut down to fit your needs. Can you see this large rope ladder hanging in some restaurant?

Technically this large rope ladder is called a pilots ladder. The ladder would be hung over the side of a ship to allow local harbor pilots to board a vessel while it was under way. The ship would never stop, the harbor pilot would climb the ladder while the vessel was still moving. Go to the gallery section of this site and see John climbing one of these ladders to board a ship that was not moving.

This ladder is 54 feet long and has 54 steps. it weights about 165 pounds. The rope is in good shape, and the wood steps have surface wear.

5 Foot Authentic Nautical Rope Ladder

    Price: $90.00

Click on the photo to see some additional photos of this 5 foot authentic nautical rope ladder.

This is a 5 foot authentic nautical rope ladder we recovered from one of our salvage operations. This authentic nautical rope ladder has five teak wood steps that measure 20 1/2 inches long, 4 1/2 inches wide, and about 1 1/2 inches thick. From the top of the rope ends to the bottom of the opposite rope ends, it measures about 5 feet long. The rope is original.

What would you do with this neat historical piece?  We have seen people make some cool shelves by attaching the rope to the wall or ceiling and allowing the rope ladder to hang down. The teak wood steps make great shelves.

An authentic nautical rope ladder such as this one would make a great display piece in your nautical collection.

I used the garden hose to wash it down, but you can expect it will have some of that normal salty ship smell, and one could clean it a little more, or leave it the way it is.

Do you have a need for a much larger section of this authentic nautical rope ladder? Good news, at the time I posted this little piece to the site, I have several other authentic nautical rope ladder sections in stock.  You may have to do a local pickup because they get heavy fast!

From the top of the rope ends to the bottom of the rope ends it measures about 5 feet long. The rope is original.

What would you do with this neat historical piece?  Well, I have seen people make some cool shelves by attaching the rope to the wall or ceiling and allowing the rope ladder to hang down.

How would I hang or attach this to the wall or ceiling? Not that I am the expert in this area, but you could use a metal “L” bracket and attach to the top of bottom of the teak step. Another way is to place a section of rope or wire between the rope ends and then drive two large nails into the wall and allow the new section of rope to rest on the nails you placed in the wall. I am sure you will have some other ways to attach this to the wall or ceiling.

I have used the garden hose to wash it down, but you can expect it will have some of that normal salty air ship smell.

Note: There is a chipped section of one of the steps (see pictures).
