Description
This vintage Seiko slave clock was once part of a synchronized time system used on ships and in institutional settings like schools and offices. Slave clocks like this relied on a master clock to keep uniform time across multiple locations. This one has been converted to run independently using a single AA battery.
The steel housing features its original light blue-grey paint, with some areas touched up in a blue-green shade. There may be some surface corrosion on the housing, which adds to its industrial character. The face is white with bold black numerals, and the dial is marked “SEIKO.” Inside, a label reads “SEIKOSH CO. LTD. JAPAN,” and inspection stamps date it to the 1990s.
A chrome bezel surrounds the glass face, which protects the dial. The thumbscrew at the top of the housing provides access to the battery compartment. We’ve tested the clock and confirmed that it works.
Features:
- Wall-mounted steel housing with original and touch-up paint
- Runs on a single AA battery (included)
- “SEIKO” dial with internal labels from Seikosh Co. Ltd., Japan
- Tested and working, with visible signs of age from the 1990s
