Description

This Vintage HANIL Ship Clock is a fully functional steel wall clock that originally served on Korean cargo ships and tankers in the 1970s and 1980s. Made by HANIL, it represents the simple, durable style of mid-century ship equipment.

The steel case shows light wear and a small dent—signs of real maritime use. Its cream-colored face includes bold black numbers and the HANIL brand name, all protected by a clear glass lens. To make it easier to use, we’ve added a new battery-powered movement. It now runs on a single AA battery.

The clock’s base is 8.25 inches wide, and the glass face measures 5.5 inches across. Whether you’re building out a nautical display or adding to a vintage clock collection, this piece adds real shipboard character.

Features:

  • Steel housing with cream face and bold, easy-to-read numbers
  • HANIL label typical of 1970s–80s Korean ship clocks
  • Updated with battery movement (1 AA battery required)
  • Shows natural wear from use aboard real cargo vessels
