Vintage Brass Ship Bell from the ELENI AR Bulk Carrier – 60 lbs.

This authentic Vintage Brass Ship Bell came from the ELENI AR, a commercial bulk carrier built in August 1994 at the Okean Shipyard in Mykolayiv, Ukraine. The vessel transported unpackaged bulk cargo, including grain, coal, and iron ore. We acquired this bell from a ship wrecking yard. As a result, it preserves a genuine piece of the ship’s maritime history.

Made from solid brass, this bell weighs an impressive 60 pounds, reflecting the substantial construction required aboard commercial vessels. Over years of service, it developed a rich patina. In addition, the surface shows scratches, discoloration, and other signs of age that add to its authentic character. The original clapper remains intact and produces a clear ring. It also shows light surface rust consistent with its age and use.

The bottom rim is engraved “ELENI AR,” matching the vessel’s name. Therefore, the engraving provides a direct connection to the ship’s history and adds to the bell’s appeal as a collectible maritime artifact.
