Description
This Seiko Blue Grey and Ivory Slave Clock was originally part of a synchronized timekeeping system used in ships, schools, and industrial spaces. These clocks relied on a master clock to ensure every unit displayed the same time throughout the building.
The clock features a blue grey enamel-coated metal housing along with an ivory face and bold black numbers. The dial shows the SEIKO name, a brand known for reliable timekeeping. Seiko was founded in 1881 in Japan and has a long history of producing precision clocks. This model has been converted to battery operation, so it now runs independently without wiring.
Accessing the battery is simple. Just loosen the thumbscrew on the side. It runs on one AA battery (not included), and we’ve tested it to make sure it works properly. While it once relied on a master system, it now functions as a standalone clock ready for display.
Features:
- Original Seiko slave clock made in Japan
- Blue grey enamel housing with ivory face and black numbers
- Battery-operated with one AA battery (not included); tested and functional
- Side thumbscrew gives easy access to battery compartment
The subtle industrial styling and neutral color combo make this piece a good fit for many spaces. For added character, you can pair it with one of our vintage nautical ceiling lights.
