Description

This Seiko Blue and Cream Ship Clock started as part of a slave clock system that kept time consistent across ships, schools, and industrial buildings. These systems connected multiple clocks to a central master unit to ensure synchronization throughout the space.

This clock has a light blue enamel-coated metal housing and a cream-colored faceplate. The cream tone varies slightly across the surface, ranging from a light cream to a slightly darker shade, which adds to its vintage character. The dial reads “SEIKO,” a name known for reliable timekeeping since the late 1800s. Made in Japan, this model has been updated for battery operation, allowing it to function independently.

To replace the battery, just loosen the thumbscrew on the side to open the case. It runs on a single AA battery (not included). We’ve tested the mechanism and confirmed it works reliably. Although it was originally part of a wired system, it now makes a practical, standalone timepiece for any wall.

Features:

  • Original Seiko synchronized slave clock made in Japan
  • Light blue enamel housing with cream-colored face
  • Battery-operated with one AA battery (not included); tested and working
  • Side thumbscrew allows easy access to battery compartment

This piece brings an industrial character with a subtle color combo that works in vintage-inspired and utilitarian spaces. Pair it with one of our nautical wall lights to complete the look.
