Description
This salvaged nautical brass bell comes from the chemical and oil products tanker BULLDOG, built in 2020 and currently sailing under the flag of Singapore. The name BULLDOG 2020 is etched directly into the brass, clearly marking its origin.
The bell stands 8.5 inches tall and weighs approximately 14 lbs. Because of its lighter weight, you can mount it on a wall bracket or display it on a shelf. It feels solid in hand without being oversized.
The brass shows dings and surface scratches from shipboard use. However, these marks reflect real working conditions at sea, not reproduction aging. As a result, the wear adds authenticity without affecting function.
The original clapper remains attached and rings clearly when struck. However, the clapper extends slightly past the base, so the bell does not sit completely flat on a surface. For that reason, we recommend wall mounting or placing it where slight movement will not be an issue. In addition, a plaque sits on the top portion of the bell, adding another identifying detail.
This salvaged nautical brass bell works well in a home office, bar area, or marina space. It also fits naturally in a coastal property or shipping office. Because of its manageable size, it adds nautical character without overwhelming the room.
