Description
The MV KANPUR, a crude oil tanker sailing under the flag of Liberia, once carried this Vintage Salvaged Brass Bell. Its name, MV KANPUR, appears inscribed in tiny needle holes, adding a unique touch to this maritime artifact. Made from solid brass, the bell has developed a rich patina from years at sea.
Inside, the mouth and clapper feature red paint, creating a bold contrast against the weathered brass. The original clapper remains intact, allowing the bell to function as intended. A handmade bell rope by Beagle Bay Knot Works is now securely attached to the clapper. Measuring 7.5 inches long and 1 inch wide, this rope is crafted for durability and a comfortable grip, enhancing both functionality and traditional maritime appeal.
With its sturdy build and aged finish, this bell makes a great addition to any nautical collection, coastal decor, or maritime display. Whether used indoors or outdoors, it brings a strong maritime presence to any space.
