Description
This nautical clock with original conduit wiring came from cargo ships and tankers active between the 1970s and 1990s. Kappa designed it as a slave clock for use in synchronized shipboard systems. Rather than keeping time on its own, it stayed accurate by receiving signals from a master unit.
The wiring runs out of the conduit on the lower side base, giving this piece a unique setup. Inside, the wiring remains complete. However, the external conduit was cut about an inch from the case. Because this clock is untested and doesn’t run on batteries, it works best as a restoration project or display item.
The steel case has a light blue-grey finish. Small rust spots, white paint marks, and discoloration from marine service are visible across the surface. A white dial with bold black numerals and hands sits behind a chrome-rimmed glass face. Additionally, three mounting holes make it easy to secure the clock to a wall or panel.
If you’re restoring vintage electronics or adding to a marine collection, this clock offers original detail and authentic shipboard character.
