Description
This solid brass ship bell was salvaged from the Bunga Mas Tujuh, a Malaysian container vessel built in 1997. The name translates to “Golden Flower Seven,” reflecting a fleet naming tradition used in Malaysian shipping. This type of bell served as a critical signaling device onboard, used for timekeeping, fog signals, and communication across the ship.
The bell retains its original clapper and produces a strong, clear ring. It is made from solid brass and shows honest wear from marine service. The surface has developed a natural patina along with light scratches from long-term use at sea. The engraved ship name and build year remain clear and easy to read.
A fixed top eye mount allows for simple hanging or display. Because of its size and sound, this bell works well as a functional piece or as a display item. It fits naturally in entryways, offices, or maritime collections. It can also serve as a working bell in a restaurant or coastal setting.
This is an authentic piece of nautical hardware with a known vessel history. It offers both function and connection to modern commercial shipping.
