Description
This authentic brass ship bell came from the Yeoman Burn, a bulk carrier built in 1990 by Samyung Radio Co. in Busan, South Korea. The ship sailed under the Norwegian flag. Its name, home port, and the year 1991 are clearly engraved on the bell.
The bell is made of solid brass and served as a working signal on board. The original clapper is still attached and produces a strong, clear ring. As expected, the bell shows signs of wear, including scratches and surface marks from regular use.
Because of its dated engraving and authentic shipboard use, this bell holds strong historical value. Additionally, it works well as a display piece in a home, office, or shop. You can either mount it or leave it freestanding.
Unlike many restored items, this bell keeps its original patina. That decision helps preserve both its story and its character. Moreover, collectors often prefer pieces left in found condition.
