Product Description
Check out this vintage steel Ashcroft pressure gauge! This was manufactured in New York by The Ashcroft MFG. Co. The Ashcroft MFG. Co. dates back to 1852 when Edward H. Ashcroft bought the rights to a French pressure gauge design to revolutionize the pressure gauges for steam engines. The invention of a pressure gauge that could monitor high pressure decreased the number of steam engine accidents.
This pressure gauge is black painted steel. The mounting frame on the back measures 12 inches in diameter and has three mounting holes. When mounted to the wall, this pressure gauge will extend out from the mounting surface by about 2.8 inches (if the input is inserted into the wall, otherwise it will not sit flat on the wall.)
