RMS Queen Mary Condenser Gauge with Authenticity Certificate, Purchased During Retirement in 1967

Dr. William Squires attended a one day sale in Long Beach, California while training aboard the USS Yorktown. He had the day off from Naval duties, was walking down the beach and saw people forming a line for this one day sale. Without a hint of a clue about what was for sale or what he wanted, he stood his place in the sand and shuffled appropriately forward. The items began to come into view – pressure gauges, telephones, interior items mostly. He purchased this condenser gauge along with a second gauge and a telephone. Thus his collection of nautical items began; but that time has passed and we are helping him find the collection a new home.

The RMS Queen Mary was retired in 1967.
