This is a 1940s Ashcroft Pressure Gauge with Original Testing Paperwork! This was manufactured in New York by the Ashcroft MFG. Co. While the housing is painted black, it is steel underneath. It reads up to 1,000 psi.
The Ashcroft MFG. Co. dates back to 1852 when Edward H. Ashcroft bought the rights to a French pressure gauge design to revolutionize the pressure gauges for steam engines.
