Vintage Marine Light with Red Ribbed Glass

This vintage marine light comes from ship salvage and features a solid brass body with a red ribbed plastic lens. Over time, the brass has developed a natural patina from marine use. The red lens is in good condition and sits securely inside a protective brass cage with a round opening at the top.

This is the only one of this exact style available. It has two conduits—one on each side—and two mounting legs for secure installation. The fixture has not been wired yet. However, it will be professionally wired out of the bottom once purchased, so it will be ready for installation when it arrives.

The solid brass housing was originally built for shipboard conditions, so it remains durable and well-made. Even though it weighs approximately 3.5 lbs, it still has a solid feel without being overly bulky. At the same time, the protective brass cage helps guard the ribbed plastic lens from impact.

This light works well in several settings. For example, it can be mounted in entryways, hallways, or above a bar area. It also fits naturally into nautical spaces, industrial rooms, or loft interiors. Because of the red ribbed lens, the light casts a warm, controlled glow rather than a harsh brightness. Overall, it adds character without overpowering the space.

Wiring:

This light will be re-wired with all new UL-Listed parts, including a medium base socket and ground wire, that are rated for any voltage under 250 volts. We recommend using a standard base LED bulb / LED Edison bulb, which allows you to choose the bulb’s brightness to match your lighting area.
