Brass Passageway Light – Heavy Patina

Description
This ship passageway light is a solid brass fixture salvaged from a working vessel. It shows clear signs of long-term use, and the surface has developed a heavy, natural patina. Each light varies slightly in tone and wear due to age and service conditions.
The design includes a brass cage that protects a clear glass globe. In some units, the globe stands taller, while others are slightly shorter. In addition, several globes show chips or breaks along the bottom rim. This type of wear is consistent with shipboard use over time.
We have already rewired each light, so it is ready for use. The conduits are also plugged, as shown in the photos. Because of this, the fixture keeps its original form while remaining practical for installation.
We currently have eleven lights in stock. While they all follow the same design, each one shows differences in patina, wear, and glass condition. As a result, no two are exactly the same.
These lights were commonly installed in ship passageways and utility areas. The cage and thick glass helped protect the bulb in tight, high-traffic spaces.
Features:
- Solid brass construction with heavy, natural patina
- Rewired and ready for installation
- Brass cage with clear glass globe (height varies)
- Multiple units available with variation in wear and glass condition
Wiring:
This light has been rewired with all new UL-listed parts, including a medium base socket and ground wire, rated for any voltage under 250 volts. We recommend using a standard base LED bulb / LED Edison bulb, which allows you to choose the bulb’s brightness to match your lighting area.
To access the socket, unscrew the cage and lift the globe.
