This vintage brass ship bulkhead light is about 10 inches tall from the top of the wall mount to the tip of the cage. It measures about 4 inches wide. The wall mount measures 3 3/4 inches wide and had four mount holes. This light weighs about 5 pounds.
The globe is glass and has a small chip on one side. The cage is welded together in three spots, which are shown clearly in the photos.
This light has been rewired with all new UL-Listed parts that are rated to work with any voltage under 250 volts. The bulb socket takes a normal screw in house bulb of 60 watts or less.
This light may need one of our 6 inch brass adapter plates. The plate is $20 extra. It will help end the frustration of covering the junction box in the wall.
Big Ship Salvage scours the world for nautical antique lights, décor and other items related to the Nautical Life. Brass, copper, stainless steel and sometimes aluminum materials are used to make-up the vintage lights that we find. We soda-blast the old paint off, remove the old wiring and polish before they arrive in our warehouse. Then, we rewire with UL listed bulb sockets and wiring harnesses and get ready for purchase. They are now ready to warm your home, business or restaurant with that nautical feeling we all desire.
