This is a Small Nautical Stainless Steel Search Light. Searchlights and spotlights are powerful lights with a concentrated beam that is turned in specific directions. These small navigation lights would have been used on the exterior deck of the vessel.

Wiring:

This gorgeous nautical antique light has been totally rewired with all UL-Listed weatherproof wiring and a porcelain bulb holder. The weatherproof wiring contains a ground wire. It can takes a medium base bulb of 100 watts or less. The new wiring is rated to work with any voltage under 250 volts.

To access the bulb holder, simply unscrew the thumbscrews on the face and the face will unhinge.
