This set of reclaimed polished brass green and red pendant lights were fitted with a 8 1/4 inch wide polished brass covers. The center hole on the top housing was threaded and a brass down rod was added. The down rod on both lights has minor cracking down the middle. The cracks do not effect the stability of the down rod. The down rod has a 3 1/4 inch ceiling mount plate with three mounting holes. These lights will extend down from the ceiling about 14 inches. Total weight is about 4 1/2 pounds each. Cracks my not be visible if mounted to the back (see photos).
The colored globes are salvaged from navigation lights. Navigation lights alert other vessels of your positioning. The red indicates portside of a boat while, the green light indicates starboard side.
These reclaimed polished brass green and red pendant lights were rewired with UL-Listed wiring and ground wire and bulb holder that is rated for any voltage under 250 volts. The new bulb holder takes a medium base bulb of 60 watts or less. To access the bulb, the deflector cover and glass globe spin off separately.
We offer a 6 inch brass adapter plate for an extra $20. This plate helps cover the junction box opening. Order a plate with your light and we will attach it at no extra charge.
Big Ship Salvage scours the world for nautical antique lights, décor and other items related to the Nautical Life. Brass, copper, stainless steel and sometimes aluminum materials are used to make-up the vintage lights that we find. We soda-blast the old paint off, remove the old wiring and polish before they arrive in our warehouse. Then, we rewire with UL listed bulb sockets and wiring harnesses and get ready for purchase. They are now ready to warm your home, business or restaurant with that nautical feeling we all desire.
