This original cast brass nautical bulkhead light is a little less than perfect. It measures almost 10 inches long from the mount plate down to the tip of the cage, and will extend out from the mounting surface by about 6 1/2 inches. The wall mount is about 4 inches wide, not counting the three mounting legs. The cage spins on and off freely. This light was polished but now has a weathered look. The glass globe could use additional cleaning. The back mount plate is bent.
We have installed a new UL-Listed bulb holder and 6 inches of UL-Listed wire. The wiring and bulb holder is rated to work with any voltage under 250 volts, and the bulb holder accepts a normal screw in light of less than 75 watts. This light weighs just over 5 pounds. Great light for the money!
Note: The mount is bent and the light has a weathered look.
You will be shipped the cast brass nautical light shown in the photos.

This is an original, unpolished cast brass (yes, it is brass under all that paint!) nautical bulkhead light salvaged from the Navy ship, USS Forrestal. From the top of the wall box mount to the bottom of the cage it measures about 10 inches tall x 5 inches wide (not including the mount holes). When mounted to the wall it will extend out by about 7 inches. The one conduit hole on the bottom of the light has been fitted with a copper cap. The light weighs 10 pounds.
This light has been rewired, including a ground wire, with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of 250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 75 watts or less. A new hole was drilled on the back to allow the wiring to exit the light and not be visible.
This light is in original, as-found condition, paint and all. It will have some surface wear. The glass globe is in good shape. One bar on the cage is missing – see photo. Won’t affect how the light works.
The USS Forrestal had a very colorful and long history – just Google her name for an interesting biography. She was commissioned in 1955 and scrapped in December of 2015.
You will be shipped the USS Forrestal ship light shown in the photos.

This is an original heavy duty cast brass nautical ceiling light. We added the 8 inch brass cover to dress it up a little. This light measures about 9 inches long from base to top of cage. The base of the light has three mounting holes. Weighs about 7 pounds.
The light has been re-wired with all new UL-Listed parts that are rated for any voltage under 250 volts. The bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 75 watts or less, or the newer compact fluorescent bulbs or LED lights with an Edison base.
The original conduit holes have been fitted with threaded brass plugs and a new hole has been drilled in the base to allow the wiring to exit into the ceiling. The cage is tight and does not screw completely onto the base…see photo. Will not affect how the light works or mounts.
You will be shipped the heavy duty cast brass nautical ceiling light shown in the photos.

Nice original aluminum ship’s porthole that has been cleaned, polished, and made into nautical mirror. The mount ring measures 19 3/4 inches. The mirror measures 13 1/2 inches. Weighs about 26 pounds. The frame has some minor warping (pictured) which does not affect the function of the porthole.
When mounted to the wall, this porthole will extend out a total of about 5 1/2 inches. This is an authentic porthole that was removed from a working vessel. You can expect some minor wear to the surfaces of the frame.
