This is an unusually small brass ceiling light that has been salvaged from a once working ship. While it’s not large enough to light an entire room, a light like this would be an interesting addition to your decor. This was likely used as a ceiling light in a small corridor. Whether it’s downstairs in a man cave/bar, or out in the garage, this light will be a great conversation piece. Install this brass ceiling light inside or outside without fear of the elements! While you may install this on a wall, be aware that unless the light is upside down, there is a chance of water getting into the cage.
This small brass ceiling light is in good condition. When mounted to the ceiling, this will extend downwards 6 inches. The diameter of the light’s brass cage is 2.25 inches. The conduits make the light’s length measure 3.5 inches. The ceiling plate measures 3.25 inches wide and has two mounting arms. This light weighs only 1.4 pounds.
This light has not been rewired yet — we will plug the conduits and drill a hole in the bottom of the light for the wires. To access the bulb, twist the brass cage and lift the cage off. The light has been re-wired with all new UL-Listed parts that are rated for any voltage under 250 volts. We have also included a ground wire. The bulb holder takes a medium base bulb of 75 watts or less, or the newer compact fluorescent bulbs or LED lights with an Edison base.
You will be shipped the very small salvaged brass ceiling light shown in the photos here.
