This is an Antique German Industrial Ship’s Telephone produced by the Fernmeldewerk Nordhausen in Germany. The label on the phone shows that it is a Typ IF/W 1 DDR. There is a standard rotary dial system on the face of the phone. This is a sound-powered telephone and the mouthpiece used to power the phone hooks to the bottom of the phone. Unfortunately, the cover over the mouth piece is missing.
The height of this antique telephone is 22 inches. When mounted to the wall, it will extend out 6.25 inches. The width measures to be 7 inches. The phone weighs 22.7 pounds.
