Vintage Ship Navigation Post Light – Clear Fresnel Glass

This clear glass navigation post light helped ships move safely at night. The 360-degree Fresnel lens spreads light in every direction, so crews could see it from any angle. Because the fixture stands just under 10 inches tall, it fits easily in many spaces.

The brass body shows natural patina and light surface markings from years of service at sea. These marks are consistent with marine use and add to the character of the piece without affecting its function.

The brass lid has KOKOSHA stamped on the top. To change the bulb, remove the three wingnuts and slowly flip the brass lid off the light. This simple design makes bulb access quick and easy.

At the very top of the Fresnel lens, just under the brass lid, there is a small chip in the glass. However, the chip is hard to notice during normal use. More importantly, it does not affect how the light works.

Because of its durable marine design, this light works well outdoors. For example, you can mount it on a post, place it in landscaping, or install it where you need a strong exterior fixture. As a result, it brings both practical lighting and real maritime history into a space.

Wiring:

This light has been rewired with all new UL-listed parts, including a medium base socket making it compatible with any voltage under 250 volts. We recommend using a standard base LED bulb or Edison-style LED bulb, which allows you to choose the bulb’s brightness to match your lighting area.
