Description
This red fresnel post light is authentic ship salvage, once used aboard working vessels or at dockside stations. Built from solid brass, it features a bold red Fresnel lens that was originally designed for visibility in critical maritime zones. These lights often marked port side positions or restricted areas, which made the red lens an essential part of onboard navigation.
Stamped with “Noack Oslo Norway,” the raised ID plate confirms its commercial marine origin. At the top, a central knob tightens the lid, which locks in place with a quarter-turn. This mechanism keeps the internal components sealed and protected, even in harsh weather.
The red Fresnel lens will show some chips in the glass from its time in service. These surface flaws don’t affect the function of the light and are typical for salvaged pieces. The brass housing also shows wear and patina, adding to its authentic character.
Because of its durability and original design, this fixture works well on dock posts, pilings, or walls. Whether you’re adding to an outdoor space or curating a nautical interior, this light delivers both function and story.
Features:
- Salvaged red fresnel post light from a working vessel
