The Vintage Nautical Ship Light that you see in the photos is an interesting style of nautical light. This light has a light purple globe with a distinct white and red outer frame. The lens is in great shape, with no edge chips. It appears to be manufactured by the Crouse-Hinds Company, out of Syracuse, New York. Since they were founded in 1897, they have been bought and sold a few times — with the most recent company, Eaton, still using the former company’s name in their product line.
This light measures 12 inches tall and the base measures 5.5 inches in diameter. The two conduits extend outwards, making the true diameter of the base, 7.5 inches. The wall cord measures 70 inches. This light weighs 8.6 pounds.
This light has been rewired with UL-listed wiring and bulb socket. This light takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. To access the bulb area, you simply turn the cage and bulb counter clockwise to un-thread.
