Vintage Brass Ship Post Light with Cracked Glass

This vintage brass ship post light comes from a working vessel and has been adapted for modern use. It features solid brass construction with the weight and durability expected from shipboard lighting. A protective brass cage surrounds a thick glass globe, built to handle tough marine conditions.

Over time, this light picked up visible wear from use at sea. The brass shows natural marks and small dents across the surface. In addition, the thick glass globe has a few cracks within the glass itself. These cracks do not fully compromise the structure, but they are visible and should be considered before purchase.

The fixture also does not twist fully down to the base as intended. We will try to adjust this before shipping. However, it may not fully seat. Because of this, the light is better suited for indoor use or controlled environments.

Overall, this is a functional piece with clear signs of age. It works well in spaces where the material and wear can be seen up close.
