Vintage Brass Post Light with Fresnel Lens and KOKOSHA Mark

This clear glass navigation brass post light helped ships move safely at night. The 360-degree Fresnel lens spreads light in all directions, so crews could spot it from any angle. Because the fixture stands just under 10 inches tall, it fits easily in a range of indoor or outdoor settings.

The brass body has a more reddish tone and shows surface wear from marine use. Over time, exposure to salt and weather created these marks. However, they do not affect how the light functions.

The Fresnel glass globe shows heavy staining along with visible scratches from use. As a result, the wear is easy to see and reflects its time at sea. Even so, the globe still functions properly and fits securely within the fixture.

The brass lid features a KOKOSHA stamp on the top. To access the bulb, undo the three bolts and lift off the lid. This setup keeps maintenance simple and quick.

We have rewired this light, so you can install and use it right away.

Because of its marine build, this light performs well outdoors. For example, you can mount it on a post, place it in landscaping, or install it where you need a durable exterior fixture. In each case, it provides steady light and a clear nautical look.

Wiring:

This light has been rewired with all new UL-listed parts, including a medium base socket making it compatible with any voltage under 250 volts. We recommend using a standard base LED bulb or Edison-style LED bulb, which allows you to choose the bulb’s brightness to match your lighting area.
