Salvaged Brass Marine Lantern – No Base

This vintage ship lantern saw real use on the water, and it shows in every detail. Made from solid brass, it carries a strong patina and surface wear from years of exposure. The clear Fresnel lens has a few chips and some clouding, adding to its authentic, rugged look.

There’s no base, so you’ll need to mount it your own way — on a ceiling, post, or bracket. We wired the lantern out the bottom, making it ready for installation. Although one conduit once connected to the side, we’ve sealed it shut to keep the housing intact. To change the bulb, just unlock and lift the top lid.

This lantern isn’t a reproduction — it’s the real thing. Whether you’re adding to a nautical space or just appreciate old marine gear, this light delivers.

Wiring:

This light has been re-wired with all new UL-Listed parts, including a medium base socket and ground wire, that are rated for any voltage under 250 volts. We recommend using a standard base LED bulb / LED Edison bulb, which allows you to choose the bulb’s brightness to match your lighting area.
