The brass housing and post mount use recycled brass for strength and outdoor reliability. However, the glass Fresnel lens comes from an original maritime light. Because of this, the fixture keeps the layered glass pattern found in classic navigation lighting.

This combination delivers authentic visual detail while supporting modern use. The Fresnel lens directs light outward and downward, which improves visibility in exterior settings.

Originally, lights of this style were mounted to deck posts, docks, and harbor walkways. Today, this post light works well along paths, entryways, patios, and commercial waterfront spaces.

Wiring & Electrical

This light has been rewired with all new UL-listed parts, including a medium base ceramic socket and ground wire, rated for any voltage under 250 volts. We recommend using a standard base LED bulb or LED Edison bulb, which allows you to choose the bulb’s brightness to match your lighting area. The wiring exits cleanly through the center of the base, allowing for straightforward post mounting.

To access the socket, loosen the thumb screws.
