This is a large, green mounted navigation light that has been salvaged from a once working vessel and rewired for commercial and/or residential use. Often, these are paired with a red post mounted navigation light, just like they would have been when they were on a ship! A green navigation light will always indicate the ship’s starboard side (right side) while a red navigation light indicates the portside (left side) of the boat. If you’d like to check out a red light, check out our related products section at the bottom!
These lights measure 12 1/2 inches tall and 8 1/4 inches in diameter. The base on this light measure 5 7/8 inches in diameter. The light weighs 15 pounds.
This light has been rewired with UL-listed wiring and bulb socket. This light takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. To access the bulb area, you simply flip the closure latch and flip open the lid. The wiring exits the bottom of the light from the brass post.
