This grey Tranberg brass post light stands just over 12 inches tall. This light has a beautiful glass grey Fresnel lens! The lens measures 6 1/2 inches wide. The base of the light is 5 inches in diameter. Weighs 11 pounds.
The grey Fresnel glass has some minor chipping due to being salvaged off a decommissioned vessel.
This light has been rewired with UL-listed wiring and bulb socket. This light takes a normal screw in house bulb of 75 watts or less. To access the bulb area, you simply undo the latch on the top and flip open the top. The wiring exits the bottom of the light from the brass post.
We have installed a copper cap in the old conduit hole on the Tranberg junction box.
Big Ship Salvage scours the world for nautical antique lights, décor and other items related to the Nautical Life. Brass, copper, stainless steel and sometimes aluminum materials are used to make-up the vintage lights that we find. We soda-blast the old paint off, remove the old wiring and polish before they arrive in our warehouse. Then, we rewire with UL listed bulb sockets and wiring harnesses and get ready for purchase. They are now ready to warm your home, business or restaurant with that nautical feeling we all desire.
