Brass Perko Fresnel Light with Tall Ribbed Lens and Red Brass Lid

This salvaged brass Perko Fresnel light stands out with its taller lens and tighter Fresnel lines. Ship crews originally installed these lights on working vessels, where they served as reliable navigation aids. Today, they bring that same rugged functionality to homes and outdoor spaces.

The clear glass lens has more ribbing than standard versions and only a narrow smooth band. This design helps focus and project light efficiently. These lenses don’t have chips or cracks—each one remains solid and clean. The lid shows a reddish tone due to its red brass composition, and each piece features natural patina and signs of use from life at sea.

You’ll find the “PERKO” stamp on the lid, which twists off using the sturdy top handle. We rewired the interior with UL-listed parts, including a porcelain socket and weatherproof wiring. This makes the light safe for both indoor and outdoor use.

Wiring:

Each light has been rewired with all new UL-listed parts. That includes weatherproof wiring, a ground wire, and a porcelain bulb holder. The light works with any voltage under 250 volts and fits a standard medium base LED or Edison bulb. Wiring exits through the base for easy mounting.
