The post mounted nautical light measures about 12 1/2 inches tall including the handle on the top, and 5 5/8 inches wide. The weight of the light is 11 1/2 pounds. The base flange of this light measures 4 5/8 inches in diameter and has four mounting holes.
This light has wear & tear from years of sea travel. The glass Fresnel lens is in good condition, with a few moderate chips, which are shown in the photos.
This vintage light has been completely rewired with modern UL-Listed wiring. The new bulb socket takes a common screw in house bulb of 75 watts or less and rated to work with any electrical voltage under 250 volts. The wiring exits the light from the bottom of the brass post. To access the bulb holder you simply spin off the threaded top.
Big Ship Salvage scours the world for nautical antique lights, décor and other items related to the Nautical Life. Brass, copper, stainless steel and sometimes aluminum materials are used to make-up the vintage lights that we find. We soda-blast the old paint off, remove the old wiring and polish before they arrive in our warehouse. Then, we rewire with UL listed bulb sockets and wiring harnesses and get ready for purchase. They are now ready to warm your home, business or restaurant with that nautical feeling we all desire.
