12 Inch Clear Tranberg Post Mounted Light

Product Description:

This is an excellent 12 Inch Clear Tranberg Post Mounted Light. It is a nautical navigation port side light with a clear Fresnel lens. These lights are usually mounted at the bow or stern of the boat.

Navigation lights alert other vessels of your positioning. The red indicates the port side of a boat. The green light indicates the starboard side. The white is seen from all angles typically mounted on the stern.

In 1901 Olof Tranber founds Tranberg in Stavanger, Norway. By 1901 they had crested the world’s first electrical navigation light. They produced marine equipment for over 90 years until 2006 when they were acquired by German company R.Stahl.

This Tranberg post light is made of solid brass. The clear Fresnel lens is in excellent condition with minor chips or scratches due to being salvaged off a decommissioned vessel. We have installed a copper cap in the old conduit hole on the Tranberg junction box.

The Tranberg plate is missing from the top.

Wiring:

The light has been re-wired with all new UL-Listed parts, including a ground wire, that is rated for any voltage under 250 volts. The bulb holder takes a standard medium base LED or Edison bulb
