Vintage Brass Ship Navigation Lights Pair – Port and Starboard

These vintage ship navigation lights were salvaged from a working vessel and still show their original build and use. This port and starboard pair includes red and green bulbs and mounts directly to the wall using solid brass backplates.

Each of these vintage ship navigation lights features a clear glass globe protected by a brass cage. The glass remains in good condition, while the brass shows visible wear from time at sea. The cage surface has a dull finish with consistent patina throughout. As a result, the pair keeps its original, used look rather than a polished appearance.

The mounting base measures about 4.5 inches in diameter, which makes installation straightforward. Both lights share the same overall design; however, there is a slight difference in the neck. The vintage ship navigation lights are not perfectly identical, as the light with the red bulb has a slightly thicker curve. This kind of variation is common in salvaged ship equipment.

Originally, these vintage ship navigation lights marked navigation positions on a vessel. The red light indicates port, while the green marks starboard. Because of this, they still work for marine use. At the same time, they also fit well in nautical spaces as functional wall lighting.

Wiring:

This sconce has been re-wired with UL-listed parts, including a medium base socket and ground wire, rated for voltages up to 250 volts. We recommend using a standard base LED or LED Edison bulb to adjust the brightness according to your needs.

The wiring exits through the back of the wall mount, and the socket can be accessed by unscrewing the brass cage.
