Salvaged Small Bulkhead Light with Side Conduits

Pauluhn Electric Mfg. Co. in Pearland, Texas built this small Pauluhn red brass bulkhead light for marine use. The company designed these fixtures to handle tough conditions, and this unit still shows that purpose. We cleaned and rewired it, so you can install it right away.

The housing uses solid red brass and features a smooth top. This version also includes two side conduit openings. We added brass plugs to those openings, and they extend slightly from the sides, which gives the light a different profile.

The fixture holds a clear glass globe inside a brass cage. The cage protects the glass and still allows full light output. The design stays simple and practical, just as Pauluhn intended.

Because of its smaller size, you can use this light in hallways, entryways, or install multiple units in a row. It also works well in both residential and commercial spaces.

We rewired the fixture with a UL-listed socket and added a ground wire, so it meets modern wiring needs.

Wiring:

This light has been rewired with all new UL-listed parts, including a medium-base socket and ground wire, rated for up to 250 volts. Wiring exits through the back of the fixture for straightforward wall mounting. Use a standard medium-base LED or Edison-style LED bulb to achieve the look and brightness that works best in your space..

To access the socket, simply twist off the cage.
