Nautical Brass Wall Sconce with Glass Globe and Cage

This nautical brass wall sconce is a salvaged ship light built from solid brass. The surface shows wear and patina from use, with no heavy polishing done. It keeps its original finish and signs of age.

The light features a heavy glass globe protected by a brass cage. The glass is in excellent condition with no scratches or cracks. The cage is intact and helps protect the glass while giving it the standard bulkhead-style look found on working vessels. The cage design is slightly different than the P1-20 model, with a noticeable variation where it meets the base.

The mounting base measures 3.75″ in diameter and is thicker than most similar fixtures, giving it a more solid feel when installed. This light can be mounted directly, or paired with an optional adapter plate. The adapter plate is designed to cover a standard electrical junction box, though the mounting holes will not align. It functions as a cover rather than a direct mounting solution.

This type of light was commonly used on ships for exterior and interior bulkhead lighting. Today, it works well in a range of spaces. It can be installed in entryways, hallways, garages, workshops, or outdoor walls where a durable, enclosed fixture is needed. It also fits well in bathrooms or utility spaces where a protected light makes sense.

Wiring:

This light has been rewired with all new UL-listed parts, including a medium base socket and ground wire, rated for any voltage under 250 volts. We recommend using a standard base LED bulb / LED Edison bulb, which allows you to choose the bulb’s brightness to match your lighting area.
