This antique brass wall sconce was salvaged from a ship that has been decommissioned. It is still in great condition with slight imperfections on the brass due to wear and tare. When mounted to the wall, this light will hang down 10 inches from the top of the mount location. The width of the light is 5 inches and the light will extend out from the wall 7 inches. The mount location will need to be 6 inches in diameter. The weight of this light is 8 pounds.
We have re-wired this brass wall sconce with a ground wire and installed a new UL Listed bulb fixture that holds a normal 60 watt or less house bulb. All of our new wiring and bulb holders are rated for any voltage under 250 volts. Access the bulb fixture by spinning off the cage. The globe is also threaded and screws into the base of the light fixture.
Big Ship Salvage scours the world for nautical antique lights, décor and other items related to the Nautical Life. Brass, copper, stainless steel and sometimes aluminum materials are used to make-up the vintage lights that we find. We soda-blast the old paint off, remove the old wiring and polish before they arrive in our warehouse. Then, we rewire with UL listed bulb sockets and wiring harnesses and get ready for purchase. They are now ready to warm your home, business or restaurant with that nautical feeling we all desire.
